VG Cartridge Information

Cartomizers And Cartridges

There are many ways to e-smoke / vape and a couple of different types of cartridges for your e-cigarette. The terms cartridge and cartomizer nowadays mean the same thing and this can seem a little confusing. This is due to the better, cleaner, easier to use, higher performance levels and cheaper manufacturing process. This rise in popularity has made it the go-to cartridge for e-cig users. Let’s take a quick run through the different types of e-cigarette cartridges and the reasons why they are different from each other.

E-cig cartridges - Old Style

Most manufacturers have moved to cartomizers but the description is important in case you ever come across one. This type of cartridge has largely faded out. It has an opening on the bottom rather than a screw thread. The opening has a tiny wet sponge that is vital to the vaporization process. The main setback with these is they can leak because they lack the screw-on threading that cartomizers have.

Modern Prefilled Disposable Cartomizers

Most modern e-cigarettes, including the VG Vaping Gadgets range, have been designed to incorporate cartomizers, so called because of an amalgamation of the words “cartridge” and “atomizer.” If you’re unsure if your e-cigarette uses a cartomizer, the easiest way to identify is by the screw threading on the bottom. These are really easy to use, if your cartridge doesn’t produce any vapour then unscrew the old, fit the new and away you go again. Filled with delicious e-juice flavours, these pre filled, 808 threaded cartomizers come all ready to go.

Prefilled VG Vaping cartridges are available in a range of nicotine levels including zero. There are fewer problems with cartomizers due to the fact that a new atomizer is integrated into each cartomizer, no need to worry about burnt tastes or changing parts. Cartomizers also tend to be larger than the old style e-cigarette cartridges so hold more liquid, operate very reliably and do not leak. Perfect for beginners or for vapers who like a quick, convenient and simple way to enjoy vaping.

Refilling E-cig Cartridges

Remove the plastic cap on the top end by using a thumbtack or something sharp enough to create a small hole and simply pull the cap off.

Some have a rubber ring over the filler material, don’t forget to take that out as well. Once you can see the wicking filling material around the centre hole of the cartomizer you are ready to carefully drip your favourite VG Vaping e-juice flavour onto it. Make sure the wick isn’t burnt or you will get a nasty taste in your mouth.
About 20-30 drops are enough to refill the cartridge, let the high-quality e-juice soak into the material for a few minutes, replace the ring and cap and vape away.
